In order to achieve our mission, we provide the following services:

Capacity Building, Training, and Awareness

We provide capacity building on different aspects of the Environment. All these efforts are geared to help countries attain compliance to different international environmental laws, such as, the Kyoto Protocol, the Conventional on biological diversity, Ramsar convention on wetlands of international importance etc. These include but not limited to the following

Proposal writing for CDM and non-CDM Projects
Wetlands conservation, forestry and Agroforestry. We have Trained
 
District Councilors and Extension staff in wetlands Management, funded by Ministry of finance, Planning and Economic Development and Ministry of Water, Lands and Environment, Uganda.

Climate Change Mitigation

We are working as Clean Development Mechanisms (CDM) Consultants for Ntama Bamwine hydroelectric power Project, a 2Mw power plant meant to generate power and reduce greenhouse gases worth 4,000tCO2 per year, by run of river type of minihydro from River Rwizi in Mbarara. We developed a Project Idea Note (PIN) for this project, which was approved and now we are developing a Project Design Document (PDD).

We are engaged in climate change mitigation measures of LULUCF and AFOLU under Voluntary carbon markets (Afforestation and Reforestation) in Masaka District, Uganda.

Assessment of peoples’ Knowledge, Attitudes and Practices (KAP) in Uganda’s wetlands, funded by Lake Victoria
Environment Management Project (LVEMP).
Land use and cover change as an approach for investigating biodiversity loss and
  and degradation in Uganda, funded by UNEP/GEF.
Integrating Environmental Security Concerns in the development policy in Africa”, a case study in the Great Lakes
region, funded by PAES/EU.
Assessment of Impacts and Adaptations to Climate Change (AIACC) Project in Uganda, funded by Third World Academy
  of Sciences.



Proposal Writing
Write Project Idea Notes (PINs) and Project Design Documents (PDDs) for Renewable energy projects (hydro, wind, &
waste to energy) and Forestry as CDM and non-CDM Projects.
We carry out baseline/feasibility studies for CDM and non-CDM Projects.



Monitoring and Evaluation of Projects
We Developed a participatory biodiversity monitoring and evaluation programme for Mt. Moroto and Sango Bay forests,
funded by UNDP/GEF Cross-borders biodiversity Project.
Monitoring and evaluation of CDM projects.



Publications

Writing papers for presentations at national and international conferences
Report writing for Projects
Public Speaking, we make presentations at National and International conferences.

Negotiations for Environment, Development and conflict resolutions.
We study the interests of negotiating parties, and work out resolutions accordingly. These help us come up with sustainable peace solutions for the negotiating parties.


Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs)
We carry out EIAs both for big and small enterprises for CDM and Non-CDM Projects.
